At HB Roofing, our goal is simple: protect your home and save you money by catching small problems before they turn into costly repairs. Here are the 10 things we carefully inspect every time we step onto your roof:
1. Shingles & Membrane Condition
We carefully examine every shingle on your roof. If any are cracked, curled, missing, or loose, we’ll let you know. For flat or low-slope roofs, we check the membrane for punctures, wrinkles, or blisters. These are the early warning signs that can shorten the life of your roof.
2. Flashings & Seals
Water loves to sneak in around chimneys, vents, pipes, and skylights. That’s why we take a close look at all flashings and seals. If we spot loose metal, rust, or cracked sealant, we’ll call it out and recommend the right fix.
3. Drainage & Gutters
Your roof is only as good as its drainage system. We check that gutters, downspouts, and roof valleys are clear of leaves and debris. If we see signs of ponding water or sagging gutters, we’ll show you where improvements are needed.
4. Decking & Underlayment
When possible, we peek at the decking and underlayment beneath your roof. We’re looking for soft spots, water stains, or rot that can weaken your roof from the inside out. These are problems most homeowners don’t notice until it’s too late.
